Big Win For Rotella

Rotella was accused of embezzling money – essentially paying an official of the L.A. Coliseum and Sports Arena to allow its EDM events to continue at that venue and other city-run properties.

The dismissals were handed down by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Kathleen A. Kennedy Sept. 27.

Rotella has two counts remaining: One of conspiracy to commit embezzlement and one count of bribery.

“We are extremely pleased with the Court’s ruling this morning. The ruling confirms what we’ve maintained from day one – that Mr. Rotella didn’t steal a penny from the Coliseum – he paid money,” Rotella’s attorney said.

“Now almost two years since the beginning of this investigation, two civil judges and one criminal judge have come to this same conclusion. Today’s ruling is a giant step toward what we expect to be a full and complete exoneration of Mr. Rotella.”
