Josh Rogin, a senior correspondent for the newsmagazine’s Daily Beast, was reportedly punched twice in the face by the comic after an incident at the DC Improv nightclub.
Police say a witness saw a punch thrown after Nainan’s performance at a benefit for the Pension Rights Center and the Foundation for the Education and the Rebirth of Haiti.
Nainan was charged with simple assault, although he told The Associated Press he did not punch Rogin but did push him twice.
