Rosie O’Donnell To Travel The Road Downunder

Rosie O’Donnell plans to the funny to Australia and New Zealand as the TV host/actress/activist returns to the live stage for a run of stand-up gigs described as “no holds barred” comedy.

That description comes to us from the promoter behind the shows, Australia’s The Frontier Touring Company which announced the south-of-the-equator road trip this week, saying, “The Queen of Comedy is set to reclaim her rightful place on the throne.”

The adventure begins on the last day of January in Wellington, New Zealand and wraps in Sydney 10 days later.  The tour follows a few East Coast shows, specifically two nights in West Nyack, N.Y., at Levity Live Dec. 13-14 and an evening at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre Jan. 24.

Here’s the plan:

Feb. 1 – Auckland, New Zealand, Aotea Centre – ASB Theatre
Feb. 4 – Perth, Australia, Perth Concert Hall
Feb. 6 – Adelaide, Australia, Festival Theatre
Feb. 7 – South Bank, Australia, Brisbane Concert Hall
Feb. 8 – Melbourne, Australia, Plenary Hall
