NIN & Queens Of The Stone Age Downunder

Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age are teaming up once again. After playing North America together back in 2005, the two acts are headed to Australia and New Zealand for a double headline tour set for March.

The bands are serious about calling this outing a “double headline tour.” You know how some of those tours that are technically called co-bills, but it’s apparent that one act is really, truly the headliner because it gets to close out every night? This tour is fair and square. An announcement notes that the first band on stage will be decided by a coin toss.

A few weeks ago NIN announced its 2013 lineup, following the departure earlier this year of Adrian Belew and Eric Avery. The roster now features Trent Reznor along with Alessandro Cortini, Joshua Eustis, Robin Finck, Lisa Fischer, Sharlotte Gibson, Pino Palladino and Ilan Rubin. Reznor & Co. are supporting its eighth studio album, Hesitation Marks, which was released in September as the band’s first LP since 2008’s The Slip.

QOTSA also put out a new album this year. …Like Clockwork marks the band’s sixth studio album.
