Blue Rodeo’s Coast-To-Coast Canada Run

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Blue Rodeo has something planned for its Canadian fans in early 2014 – an extensive tour of the provinces beginning in Vancouver during the first week of January and wrapping in Montreal in early March.

Fans should be familiar with Blue Rodeo’s new music by the time the band plays the first gig on the tour.  In Our Nature drops Oct. 29, giving everyone two months to get acquainted with the songs, lyrics and melodies.  Several of the tunes were road tested by the band while playing shows earlier this year, so you might experience a slight feeling of déjà vu when you listen to In Our Nature for the first time.

“Doing a lot of touring while making this record helped a lot,” Blue Rodeo’s Greg Keelor said.  “Everybody was getting along and the band was playing well together.  It’s a good crop of songs and everyone just played it right and they played it beautifully.”

The tour will be somewhat of a family affair.  The Devin Cuddy Band, headed up by the son of Blue Rodeo member Jim Cuddy, opens on all dates.
