NIN, QOTSA Team Up, Skynyrd Debuts
The two acts played 30 shows together in the United States in 2005 and recorded together.
NIN frontman Trent Reznor appears on QOTSA’s current album Like Clockwork.
The dates, through Frontier Touring, includes opening sets by Brody Dalle.
It’s taken them 40 years to get around to it, but Lynyrd Skynyrd is finally making its live debut downunder, in early 2014.
Live Nation has them at the Plenary, Melbourne, Feb. 11 and the Sydney Entertainment Centre Feb. 13.
Skynyrd also has three dates in New Zealand. Live Nation also booked two sideshows by Dave Matthews Band and Gary Clark Jr. for Sydney Entertainment Centre (April 15) and Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne (April 17).
Both are were already announced for slots on Bluesfest, Byron Bay, and Perth’s West Coast Blues & Roots.
The Frontier Touring Company and I Oh You have Foxes making their Australian debut at Melbourne’s The Toff In Town (Nov. 13) and Sydney’s Sydney Oxford Art Factory (Nov. 14).
Irish pop twins Jedward will do three theatre stops Nov. 23 to Dec. 1.
Chicago psych-rock band Cave makes its Australian debut through Life Is Noise, with four club dates Dec. 4-7.
Guitar Wolf returns for seven club sessions Nov. 28 to Dec. 7 through TSK Events.
After she announced it via twitter September, The Frontier Touring Company confirmed Rosie O’Donnell will do seven theatres Jan. 31 to Feb. 9.
