Oakland Plan Moves Forward

Coliseum City Plan Moves Forward An investment group wants to join forces with the city of Oakland, Calif., and others in the proposed Coliseum City sports and entertainment redevelopment surrounding the city’s aging stadium and arena.

Colony Capital LLC and Rashid Al Malik of HayaH Holdings have formed Bay Investment Group, LLC, to join the redevelopment team negotiating on the project, starting with funding a stadium feasibility study, according to the San Francisco Business Journal.

The approximately $2 billion project would include 14 million square feet of commercial, retail and office space, about 6,000 residential units and up to three stadiums over a 10-year period, the Journal said.
