Take A Ride Down Heffron Drive
The story of Heffron Drive goes back to 2008 when actor/singer/songwriter Schmidt and musician Dustin Belt struck up a conversation during a music industry event in Los Angeles. They soon realized that not only were they both from Wichita, Kan., but they also lived on the same Los Angeles-area street, Heffron Drive.
Soon they were streaming music from their MySpace page to a quickly growing fan base. That is, before Big Time Rush came a calling, recruiting Schmidt first. Belt later joined as the group’s touring guitarist.
Now the two have their own, long-overdue tour beginning in late November.
“I couldn’t be more stoked for the upcoming Heffron Drive U.S. winter tour,” Schmidt said. “This is the first time I’ve played shows in the U.S. since BTR and I wanted to give the past, present, and future fans something special to talk about. We’ve got a full band this tour cranking out the classics, and also plan to debut new songs that have never been seen or heard before. See you all at the venue!”
