Bridge School Announces Webcast

You say you can’t make it to Neil and Pegi Young’s Bridge School benefit this weekend at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif.?  You can have Bridge School come to you via the magic of the internets.

The annual acoustic event aiding people with severe speech and physical impairments takes place Oct. 26-27 and features a spectacular lineup that includes Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Queens Of The Stone Age, My Morning Jacket, Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, fun., Heart, and Jenny Lewis.  What’s more, Arcade Fire, Jack Johnson and Tom Waits will appear at Bridge School on Saturday only.  And, as luck would have it, Saturday is the day of the webcast.

Warner Bros. Records is sponsoring the webcast.  The show will stream free in its entirety on YouTube.  Click here for the link.

The folks behind the benefit want you to know that The Bridge School Benefit Concerts – 25th Anniversary Edition is still available as a 3-DVD set and a 2-CD package via Reprise Records.  Included are performances by Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Ben Harper, Bob Dylan, R.E.M. and more – a humongous galaxy of stars coming together for a good cause.
