Hop Farm To Return?
Kent News and Kent Online both reckon Nottingham-based promoter Neil Butkeraitis, who runs the local Flashback Festival, will take over.
Hop Farm Music Festival Ltd. was set up in August and an account on Twitter has started to whip up publicity for next year’s event, with an onsale date of Nov. 1. A new Hop Farm website has the dates as July 4-6.
“Great couple of days in London, very productive and some great artists lined up for next year’s events,” Butkeraitis says on his personal Twitter and Facebook pages. “Looking forward to a full festival season next year, exciting times ahead with Flashback, Hop Farm and Chelmsford festivals.”
Some reports say there will be a press conference by the end of the week to announce next year’s fest, but it wasn’t possible to get confirmation from Butkeraitis at press time.
Hop Farm 2013, which was promoted by Vince Power’s Music Festivals PLC at Paddock Wood, was canceled due to poor ticket sales.
A couple of months later, Music Festivals PLC went into administration with debts of £4.8 million (then $7.27 million).
