Chris Mills Has His Own Tour To Do
Mills’ new long player, Alexandria, arrives Jan. 21, just a couple of days after he launches his first U.S. tour in three years. The album features nine new songs recorded in New York, Chicago and Oslo and mixed by Grammy award-winning engineer Ryan Freeland (Tift Merritt, Ray LaMontagne, Aimee Mann).
The tour begins far from Mills Chicago stomping grounds. Although he’s launching the journey in Cambridge, Mass., Mills has several gigs scheduled for his native Midwest, including Madison, Wis., Ypsilanti, Mich., and Toledo, Ohio.
Here’s the rundown:
Jan. 19 – Cambridge, Mass., Atwoods Tavern
Jan. 23 – St. Louis, Mo., Off Broadway Nightclub
Jan. 24 – Chicago, Ill., Schubas Tavern
Jan. 25 – Madison, Wis., Kiki’s House Of Righteous Music
Jan. 26 – St. Paul, Minn., Amsterdam Bar And Hall
Jan. 29 – Ypsilanti, Mich., Woodruff’s
Jan. 30 – Cleveland, Ohio, Grog Shop
Jan. 31 – Toledo, Ohio, Frankie’s Inner-City
Feb. 1 – Cincinnati, Ohio, House Concert
Feb. 2 – Chicago, Ill., Saki Store In-Store
Feb. 8 – Peace Dale, R.I., Roots Hoot House Concert
