Chris Mills Has His Own Tour To Do

After sharing bills with Neko Case, Wilco, Ben Folds, Nick Lowe, Andrew Bird and others, indie singer/songwriter Chris Mills takes to the road in early 2014 to promote his first new album in five years.

Mills’ new long player, Alexandria, arrives Jan. 21, just a couple of days after he launches his first U.S. tour in three years.  The album features nine new songs recorded in New  York, Chicago and Oslo and mixed by Grammy award-winning engineer Ryan Freeland (Tift Merritt, Ray LaMontagne, Aimee Mann).

The tour begins far from Mills Chicago stomping grounds.  Although he’s launching the journey in Cambridge, Mass., Mills has several gigs scheduled for his native Midwest, including Madison, Wis., Ypsilanti, Mich., and Toledo, Ohio.

Jan. 29 – Ypsilanti, Mich., Woodruff’s
Jan. 30 – Cleveland, Ohio, Grog Shop
Jan. 31 – Toledo, Ohio, Frankie’s Inner-City
Feb. 1 – Cincinnati, Ohio, House Concert
Feb. 2 – Chicago, Ill., Saki Store In-Store
Feb. 8 – Peace Dale, R.I., Roots Hoot House Concert
