Stevie Wonder Performing ‘Songs In The Key Of Life’
The 18th annual House Full of Toys benefit, which collects unwrapped new toys for the needy, is set for Dec. 21 at the Los Angeles venue.
“This is my celebration of song, life and love,” Wonder said during the conference, according to the Los Angeles Times. “What is amazing to me is how relevant this album is today. After all, I could never write all the songs in the key of life; but there will be others who will carry on the message of song, love and life.”
The newspaper reports that Wonder is bringing along some of the musicians who played on the 1976 album. The lineup will also include “performances by both younger and veteran musicians.”
Songs in the Key of Life features the songs “I Wish,” “Sir Duke,” “Pastime Paradise,” “Knocks Me Off My Feet,” “Isn’t She Lovely?” “Black Man,” “As” and “Another Star.” The double LP won Grammys for Album of the Year, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Producer of the Year.
Presale tickets will be available Oct. 31, followed by the general public onsale Nov. 1. Both onsales are scheduled at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
