Billy Joel Sets Brooklyn New Year’s Eve Gig
Joel’s stratospheric position in the entertainment world is shared by few others. Sure, you can talk up the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame member’s more than 150 million albums sold worldwide, his many Grammy awards or just hype the fact that he’s the sixth best-selling recording artist of all time. But all you need is Billy Joel, Barclays Center, Dec. 31 to sell all the tickets.
Needless to say, the folks at Barclays are very excited to be hosting Joel.
“We are proud that Billy has chosen to make Brooklyn his first arena concert in New York City since 2006,” Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark said.
“When we opened Barclays Center 13 months ago, Billy was one of the must-have artists for our building and we are thrilled that he will be ringing in the New Year on Brooklyn’s biggest stage. New York City born and Long Island raised, Billy is an iconic New Yorker and we are looking forward to a memorable evening.”
