Motörhead Announces Rescheduled U.K./Europe Shows

When we last checked in with Motörhead, the legendary metal band was postponing its fall tour of Europe and the United Kingdom because Lemmy Kilmister was still dealing with health issues.  Now the band has rescheduled the tour for February-March.

Kilmister has been experiencing health problems since spring.   While the band originally described their founder/vocalist/bassist as undergoing “medical maintenance,” drummer Mikkey Dee told Sweden’s Aftonbladet newspaper that Kilmister was suffering from haematoma, a condition where blood accumulates outside of blood vessels.  Dee said the condition probably came from a hip injury that resulted from a fall.

Touring in support of the newly released Aftershock album, Motörhead’s revised journey begins in mid-February in Scotland.  Tickets for the postponed autumn shows will be honored on the new dates.
