More Concerts For Hanging Rock
There will be five more years of concerts at the spectacular Australian tourist attraction Hanging Rock, made globally famous by ’70s thriller movie “Picnic At Hanging Rock.”
Michael Gudinski’s Mushroom Group will organize up to four shows a year, with the crowd capped at 18,000.
Gudinski, who has a weekender in the region’s Macedon Ranges, first struck a deal with authorities in 2009 to deliver four shows.
Two Bruce Springsteen shows drew 31,000 and generated about $10 million to the local economy.
Other concerts were by Rod Stewart and Leonard Cohen.
