East Meets Best Food

The Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., is serving up five new items – a BLT hot dog, an Italian hot dog, the Villa dog (Nathan’s hot dog wrapped in pizza bread) and two choices for a Korean hot dog (topped with chicken or beef).

Meanwhile, Madison Square Garden is working with La Esquina, a Garden version of the restaurant La Esquina Manhattan.

Because of this, MSG’s “soggy arena nachos” have been transformed into gourmet nachos that include organic corn chips, cheese, red and green salsa and jalapenos.

MSG has a second restaurant, run by legendary Jean-Georges Vongerichten, which will serve gourmet tacos, glazed short ribs and chipotle chicken.

Other MSG fare includes Daily Burger, from Ridgewood’s Drew Nieporent; Jeremy Marshall’s Lobster Shrimp Roll by Aquagrill; and Andrew Carmellini’s Sausage Boss.
