Los Lonely Boys Take On 2014

After being forced to call off gigs earlier this year because of injuries vocalist/guitarist Henry Garza sustained from a stage fall in February, Los Lonely Boys have a jam-packed schedule in 2014 with a new album release and more than 30 gigs already on the books.

Henry fell into the orchestra pit Feb. 27 shortly before the Chicano rock band wrapped its set at the Downy Civic Center in Downey, Calif. He had been walking to the front of the stage to greet fans.

Although the band eventually resumed its tour, the 2013 trek was stalled once again when the trio of brothers announced in late August that Henry had re-injured his back and needed more time off the road to receive treatment for neck and back injuries from the incident.

Los Lonely Boys returned to the road earlier this month with two shows in Milwaukee Nov. 5-6.

Now the guys are looking forward to 2014, including the Jan. 21 release of Revelation.

“We decided to call this album Revelation because we want to make music that reveals something to people about their lives and their world,” said bassist Jojo Garza. “As musicians and artists, we’re here to connect with people, and to share our view of things.”

He added, “We’re always trying to broaden our horizons and advance musically, and that’s something that we were very conscious of in making this record. We’re always looking for new ways to communicate and reach people, so we experimented with a lot of different sounds and production approaches.”
