Bluesfest Adds Buddy Guy,Jake Bugg
Bluesfest Byron Bay’s fourth artist announcement was tagged “Damn right we got the Blues!”
It included Buddy Guy, Jake Bugg, James Cotton Blues Band, Booker T. Jones, Charlie Musselwhite and Eric Bibb to a 25th anniversary bill that already included Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, The Doobie Brothers, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Aaron Neville and Gregg Allman.
The event runs April 17-21. Festival director Peter Noble said, “2014 also marks 25 years of my touring with Buddy. I first brought him here in 1990 – the same year Bluesfest started and the year before Damn Right I Got The Blues was released and his career went into the stratosphere.”
