Cody Simpson: Unplugged, Up Close & Personal

Cody Simpson will get in touch with his songwriting roots when the Australian singer and his band embark on a January road trip featuring stripped down acoustic versions of his hits along with other material.

Planning to electrify audiences with non-electrified performances, Cody’s tour announcement comes the same week as the release of his new EP, The Acoustic Sessions.

Cody also has a little something for the holiday spirit – an all-new recording of the Charles Brown classic, “Please Come Home For Christmas.”

What were you doing on your 17th birthday?  Safe to say you probably weren’t playing Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre.  That’s the plan for when Simpson enters his last year of underage freedom.  With the tour beginning in Santa Ana, Calif., Jan. 10, stops include Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto and St. Louis.  So far, the final destination on the journey is Denver on Jan. 31.
