Prince Announces East Coast Dates

You could call this a Thanksgiving week miracle. Prince announced a handful of gigs – and he’s given you more than a month to make your travel plans. His Highness is headed to Uncasville, Conn., in December for a three-night residency.

Following the “oCtOBer sUrpRISE” and “The Breakfast Experience Pajama Dance Party” at Prince’s Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minn., which he announced just days before the events took place, the musician’s next stop is Uncasville’s Mohegan Sun Arena Dec. 27-29.

When we heard the news about the trio of gigs, our first question was – will there be more dates? Is this the beginning of a full-fledged tour?

Well, here’s what we know. A post on the Mohegan Sun Arena’s website says the December gigs shows mark Prince’s “only East Coast appearance.” As to whether the Purple One could add more dates in the Midwest or farther west, I guess we’ll have to wait and find out.

Earlier this year Prince played more than a dozen dates on the West Coast with his new backing band 3rd Eye Girl.

Presale tickets for the Mohegan Sun Arena shows will be available beginning Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. EST. Tickets go on sale to the general public Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. EST. Perfect timing to get the Prince fan in your life the perfect present for Christmas or Hanukkah!
