Unrepentant Tori Amos Dates

Tori Amos has announced the first dates for what’s being called an “extensive” world tour in support of her 14th studio album. The trek begins in May with more than two dozen gigs in Europe.

Unrepentant Geraldines is due out in spring 2014. An announcement from Amos’ PR folks describes the LP as “a return to her core identity as a creator of contemporary songs of exquisite beauty following a series of more classically-inspired and innovative musical projects of the last four years.”

The singer/songwriter/composer has been busy. Not only has Amos been working on her new album, but in October the musical she wrote with Samuel Adamson, “The Light Princess,” premiered at London’s National Theatre. The musical, which will run through at least February, is already being recognized with nominations and awards. “The Light Princes” was nominated for best musical and leading lady Rosalie Craig won the best musical performance at last month’s UK Evening Standard Drama Awards.
