Lied Center Taps Kwan
Derek Kwan had been named executive director of The Lied Center of Kansas .
He replaces Tim Van Leer, who is retiring after 12 years with the 2,020-capacity venue in Lawrence, Kan.
Kwan previously served as VP of concerts and touring at Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC.
He also worked as executive director of programming at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan for five years.
