A Few Nights With Billy Joel

Billy Joel is following up yesterday’s news about his franchise at Madison Square Garden by adding a sixth show at the NYC venue. He’s also made plans outside the Big Apple with a gig in the Detroit area and another in Pittsburgh.

The franchise will feature one show a month with Joel “as long as there is demand.” So far, there is definitely demand.

The first four MSG dates – Jan. 27, Feb. 3, May 21 and April 18 – are already sold out.

The sixth show is scheduled June 21. Presale tickets for that concert, as well as the May 9 performance announced yesterday, are available now for Citi card members.

Tickets for the May and June shows will be available to the public Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. EST.

Joel won’t be sticking around NYC the entire year. In addition to previously announced January shows in Florida, he’s headed to The Palace Of Auburn Hills in Michigan Feb. 15 and Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center Feb. 21.

Presale tickets for the Auburn Hills show will be available to American Express card members Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. EST. A presale for Pittsburgh is scheduled Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. Tickets for both dates go on sale to the public Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. EST.
