Live Nation’s Download Festival is the best in the Britain, according to voters in the UK’s Festival Awards.  

The event won the award for best major festival at London’s  Dec. 2, beating other huge fests such as Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and the V Festivals.

Latitude and Creamfields, also co-owned by LN, also got on the score sheet. Latitude had the best lineup, while Creamfields was the best dance event.

“In this, our 10th year, we had the most fiercely fought competition for the awards,” said UK Festival Awards managing director James Drury.

Music fans from all over the world cast more than 575,000 votes to decide the winners.

Other winners included Kendal Calling (best medium-sized fest), Bearded Theory (best small fest), We Are FSTVL (best new fest), while Austria’s Snowbombing took best overseas festival.

Acts collecting gongs included Arctic Monkeys (best headliner), Daft Punk (anthem of the summer for “Get Lucky”) and 

The event won the award for best major festival at London’s  (best breakthrough act).
