Okla. Venues Opening
Two new venues are headed to Shawnee, Okla.
First up is the Grand Event Center at Grand Casino Hotel and Resort, which opens this month, and next is the FireLake Arena, which follows with a January opening.
The Citizen Potawatomi Nation is putting the final touches on the Grand Event Center at Grand Casino Hotel and Resort near Shawnee, Okla., which opens this month.
The 2,000-capacity Grand Event Center includes 15,000 square feet of concert space and two restaurants in the works.
The 52,000-square-foot FireLake Arena will feature 5,000 seats.
The 5,000-capacity FireLake Arena, depicted in this artist rendering, is on track to open in January in Shawnee, Okla.
Rodney Carrington will open the Grand Event Center with two shows Dec. 27-28, followed by Heart, Colt Ford, and Billy Currington next year.
Events at the FireLake Arena kick off with a UFC bout Jan. 18 and The Wanted will play the venue in May.
