Reignwolf In The Dark

As fans wait for Reignwolf’s debut EP, the blues/hard rock act fronted by guitarist extraordinaire Jordan Cook announced support dates with Black Sabbath this week and released a new tune.

Reignwolf’s live show, including performances at 2013’s Coachella and Lollapalooza, has been knocking the socks off of critics during the past few years. Along with Cook, the band features drummer Joseph Braley and guitarist David T. Rapaport aka Stitch.

After catching Reignwolf’s bar show outside Austin City Limits in 2012, Antiquiet described the gig as “the reason why people talk about ‘religious experiences’ at shows.’”

The reporter for Seattle Weekly didn’t have a bad time either when he attended one of Reignwolf’s concerts.

“He was all over the stage, driving the crowd into a frenzy, grinding sounds from his guitar with the back of his hand, the ceiling beams, the mic stand,” Seattle Weekly wrote about the Canadian frontman’s stage presence.

“His extended solos were soul-dripping, finger-flailing explosions that he looked like he could have done in his sleep.”

The band, which is based in Seattle, released “In The Dark” this week. That will have to hold you over until you can get your hands on the EP, which is due out in early 2014.
