Green And Growing Stronger

The fourth international GreenEvents Europe Conference turned out to be its best so far with reps from some of Europe’s major fests.

They came from Rock Am Ring and Hurricane (both in Germany), Roskilde (Denmark), Way Out West (Sweden), Exit (Serbia) and Swiss fests including Montreux Jazz and Open Air St.Gallen.

“I think this edition took our little conference to another level,” said main organizer Holger Jan Schmidt, after 160 delegates attended the gathering in Bonn, Germany, Nov. 24-26.

Attendance was 30 percent up on last year.

Topics under discussion included “Meat or no meat?” “Do people behave better in a clean environment?” “It’s only teenage wasteland – camping and waste” and “Down The Loo.”

GreenEvents Europe was supported and funded by the Federation For Environment and Development of North Rhine-Westphalia.
