The new event, called Stockholm Fields (or STHLM Fields), will be at Ladugårdsgärdet, a huge park northeast of the Swedish capital.

Other acts on the bill include SlayerMastodonGhost, and Gojira. There will be two stages.

Another two or three acts are expected to be announced shortly.

“This year the line-up is metal and rock, but the STHLM Fields concept would allow it to be slightly different next year,” explained LN Sweden press officer Kristofer Åkesson. “The main thing is that it is a modern big festival in the middle of the city.

LN’s last festival in Stockholm was Where The Action Is, promoted by wholly owned subsidiary Luger, which ran from 2008 to 2011.

Earlier versions of Where The Action Is, which began in 1997, were staged Riddarholmen, Skansen and Söderbärke.
