Directed by Don Argott (“Last Days Here,” “Art Of The Steel,” “Rock School”), “As The Palaces Burn” featuring Lamb Of God was originally intended to be a documentary about the power of music and its impact on cultures.  But that was before the band landed in the Czech Republic city of Prague where lead singer Randy Blythe was arrested and eventually charged with manslaughter stemming from claims that Blythe pushed a fan from the stage during the band’s previous appearance in that city.

The cameras were running through the entire ordeal, documenting Blythe’s 38 days behind bars as well as the trial that eventually acquitted him earlier this year.

“As The Palace Burns” will be distributed by Specticast (Led Zeppelin’s “Celebration Day,” Paul McCartney’s “Rockshow”) and will premiere globally Feb. 27.  A Q&A conducted by VH1 Classics’ Eddie Trunk that was filmed at the band’s last stop on its North American tour supporting the album Resolution accompanies the film.  Click here for more information.
