Jungle Bookings

London-based buzz group Jungle will make its U.S. debut in March.  Sweeping across the country like a mighty wind blowing through the African veld, the duo will play two gigs on the East Coast, one on the West Coast and hit in between.

Jungle arrives with lots of advance praise. Having released four new tracks in EP form this year on B3SCI Records plus two seven-inch singles on Chess Club Records, Jungle has been gathering acclaims from media outlets such as Fader as well as Southern California public radio station KCRW.

How exactly do you define Jungle?  London’s Guardian newspaper described the group as possibly an art collective as well as a music duo, noting that even though their first London gig sold out, “few know who they are.” One member is known as “J” or Josh while the other member has adapted the letter “T” as a moniker.

One thing’s for sure, songs by Jungle such as “Lucky I Got What I Want” and “The Heat” have attracted plenty of attention.

And now they’re coming to this side of the pond.  Here are the dates:

March 8 – New York, N.Y., Rough Trade
March 9 – New York, N.Y., Mercury Lounge
March 17 – Los Angeles, Calif., Echo

Jungle will also play SXSW in Austin, Texas, sometime between March 10-16.

Tickets for New York and Los Angeles are already on sale.  For more information click here for Jungle’s website, here for the group’s Facebook page and here to listen to Jungle on SoundCloud.
