Paul Bäumer, one half of Dutch EDM duo Bingo Players, succumbed to cancer Tuesday.  Announcing the bad news on the group’s website, his bandmate Maarten Hoogstraten thanked fans for their support.

When Bäumer told fans in July that he had cancer, he said Hoogstraten would carry on with the Bingo Players then-future tour plans.  This week Hoogstraten announced that he was canceling all upcoming shows through the end of this year, saying they were “going through this loss with family and friends.”

Bingo Players had scheduled a West Coast run for the last week of 2013 with gigs in Vancouver and Seattle as well as a New Year’s Eve show in Oakland, Calif.

Songs by the Bingo Players include “Cry (Just A Little)” and “Rattle.” Click here for the Bingo Players’ website.
