Live Nation Turns Up Wireless

Live Nation is looking to grow its UK outdoor events season by starting a second Wireless Festival, this one in Birmingham.  

No venue’s been announced for the Midlands Wireless Festival and LN’s believed to be shifting its London fest across the capital.

Wireless was staged in Hyde Park until 2012, but shifted to the new Olympic Park when AEG won the bidding war for the Royal park contract.

A post on the festival’s official Facebook page says that Wireless 2014 will feature “3 Days. 2 New Venues. 1 Huge Festival.”

Last year Wireless had Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and Olympic Park among many others.

The acts for 2014 have yet to be named.

The London and Birmingham fests will be July 4-6.
