Washington City Will Declare April 10 Nirvana Day

The City of Hoquiam has decided it will honor Nirvana’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by naming April 10 Nirvana Day.

KXRO reports Mayor Jack Durney says the band, whose roots are from Aberdeen, have left a positive impact on all of Grays Harbor.

Durney says the band members are part of the community and should be honored for their accomplishments.

Nirvana has sold more than 25 million albums in the United States and over 75 million world-wide and will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame April 10.
