Charley Pride’s Canadian Adventure
It’s hard to imagine a world without Pride and his wonderful voice that gave life to such classics as “All I Have To Offer You (Is Me),” “Is Anybody Goin’ To San Antone?” and “Kiss An Angel Good Mornin.’” Throughout his career Pride recorded more than 50 Top 10 country hits, many of which hit No. 1 on the charts.
And Pride keeps active to this day. Long considered an international ambassador of country music, in 2013 Pride headlined Norway’s Lofoten Country Music Festival, played nine dates in Canada and sold out his 16-date tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The Country Music Hall Of Fame member’s early 2014 schedule has him performing in the U.S. beginning with a concert at the Arlington Music Hall in Arlington, Texas, Feb. 1. Other stops include the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Fla., March 3; Prairie Knights Casino in Fort Yates, N.D., March 29; and the Isleta Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, N.M., April 26.
The Canadian tour begins in mid-May. Here’s the schedule:

“I’ve played all of the provinces in Canada at one time or another,” Pride said. “My first Canadian shows were with Bill Anderson and Faron Young. I loved it then. And I love it now. The show promoters and country music fans in Canada have been wonderful to me over the years.”
