Jason Aldean To ‘Burn It Down’

Jason Aldean stopped by ABC’s “Good Morning America” today to talk about his spring-summer “Burn It Down” tour that will cover approximately 50 cities and include concerts at several major ball parks.

Aldean didn’t reveal any hard data such as date, city and venue during his appearance on GMA, saying he would announce dates and locations “periodically throughout the year.”

But he did reveal a few details, saying the “Burn It Down” tour would begin May 1 in Roanoke, Va.  Later in the day while appearing on MLB.com, Aldean said stadiums would include National Park in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, PNC Park in Pittsburgh and Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

Evidently Aldean loves playing stadiums. On one day in 2012, he spent a day on a whirlwind press trip where he appeared at Boston’s Fenway Park, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., to announce then-upcoming shows at each location.

For the past few days Aldean has been tweeting clues about the tour, sending followers photos of a stadium seat, an ankle wearing a red sock, a box of kitchen matches and other hints regarding the “Burn It Down” tour.

Aldean told GMA’s audience that at one time he harbored aspirations of playing in the big leagues.

“At one point, I kind of thought that was going to be my career path,” Aldean said.  “The problem is I didn’t have any power.”

Aldean won’t be going it alone. Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr will accompany him on the trek.

Fans can purchase tickets beginning Jan. 24 when select cities go on sale as part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket offering.  In the meantime we‘ll keep watching Aldean’s internet properties, including his website, Facebook page and Twitter feed, for more information.
