41 Aussie Acts Confirmed For SxSW
Forty-one Australian acts have accepted and signed performance contracts at South by Southwest.
The festival’s Australian, New Zealand and Hawaiian representative, NSW-based Phil Tripp, told Pollstar he expects the number to rise to a record-breaking 50 attendees.
The list of acts ranges from chart busters including Sheppard, Boy and Bear, Vance Joy, Oh Mercy and Angus and Julia Stone to indie faves DZ Deathrays, The Preatures, Gossling, Owl Eyes, Miami Horror and Mia Dyson to new buzz acts Gang of Youth, The Griswolds, King Parrot, The Delta Riggs and The Swiss.
Of 10 New Zealand acts invited, only Hollywoodfun Downstairs, Popstrangers and Watercolours committed.
