Woodstock ‘94 Site Eyed For Another Music Event

One of the organizers of the original Woodstock concert is helping promoters who want to stage a weekend electronic music festival at the Hudson Valley farm where the Woodstock 25th anniversary concert was held.

The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports that Michael Lang is spearheading the project being organized by Denver-based MCP Presents. The promoters want to hold the Hudson Music and Arts Festival in July at Winston Farms in Saugerties in Ulster County, 40 miles south of Albany. The same fields were the site of the Woodstock ‘94 concert.

The Saugerties Planning Board approved the July festival in December. It still needs approval from Ulster County and the state.
