Nielsen SoundScan Data
Recorded music sales reports containing Nielsen SoundScan data were dropped from PollstarPro.com at the start of the New Year and are no longer available.

The SoundScan physical and digital sales data reports were introduced two years ago with the hope that this information would be a valuable addition to the concert booking decision process.
Nielsen insisted on charging $125 for the reports and despite the steady decline in purchasing, the company rejected attempts to offer the data at a more reasonable price point.
Even as social media has eroded SoundScan’s importance as a ticket sales predictor, Pollstar still believes that the SoundScan data could have significant value to talent buyers.
Unfortunately the cost of this information (10 times the cost of Pollstar’s own data reports) proved to be far greater than subscribers found to be warranted.
