Foster The People’s ‘Supermodel’ Dates

Get pumped because Foster The People are hitting the road in April for a U.S./Canada road trip that will take the band to a handful of festivals along with stops in Nashville, Dallas, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, Vancouver and Toronto.

The indie pop act is taking pre-orders for the follow-up to its 2011 Grammy-nominated debut, Torches, which features the smash hit “Pumped Up Kicks.” Supermodel is due out March 18 on Columbia Records.

Foster The People is celebrating the new LP with a free show in Los Angeles Thursday, Jan. 23. Follow the band’s Twitter page for info about tickets and location. As of the time of this post, the venue was still TBA.

In addition to Coachella and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage, Foster The People will also make appearances at CounterPoint Music Festival in Atlanta, Ga. (April 25-27); Big Guava in Tampa, Fla. (May 2-4); and New York City’s Governors Ball Music Festival (June 6-8). These events haven’t revealed their daily schedules yet.

As for the non-festival dates, a limited presale began today. Tickets for the U.S. gigs go on sale to the general public Friday, Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. local time. Toronto’s general onsale is Jan. 24 at 10 a.m.
