Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Interview
The brothers fell into concert promotion through their parents’ clothing store.
As they took active roles in increasing sales, they incorporated music to promote the expansion of the haberdasheries.
That included a couple of shows by The Four Freshmen and a jazz festival in 1966. It wasn’t long before the Belkins were some of the biggest promoters in the U.S.
They are credited with introducing concepts like VIP clubs and presale pricing.
Mike was also the manager of acts like The James Gang, Michael Stanley Band, Wild Cherry and The Sir Douglas Quintet.
The interview, divided into three parts, covers everything from the Belkins’ childhood activities to their role in bringing the Hall of Fame to Cleveland.
