Industry Noize: Rogers Arena Not Penalized

Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, will not be fined or penalized because a contracted staff member served alcohol to a minor during a Vancouver Canucks hockey game in March 2013.

The B.C. Liquor Control and Licensing Branch said in a Jan. 24 report it is satisfied with the arena’s “system of checks and balances” to make sure its employees and third-party staff follow the law and don’t serve alcohol to minors, according to the Vancouver Sun.

The employee who sold alcohol to the underage, undercover agent was fired from his job with Aramark Sports and Entertainment.
