Neko Case Fights Hard For More Gigs

Neko Case wasn’t joking when she tweeted, “We never stop touring, we just don’t. We’ll show up in your town eventually.” The singer/songwriter has announced more than a dozen spring gigs with support from The Dodos.

Case’s latest LP is her sixth studio album, The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You. The album was nominated for a Grammy for best alternative music album.

Although Vampire Weekend went home with the award on Sunday, Case didn’t let that spoil her night.

“Thanks for all your nice Grammy wishes, it’s like a MILLION-BILLION Grammys!” she tweeted to her followers. “On the bright side, IM STILL PUNK!!! WOOOOOO!!! <3 <3 <3 ”

Case added, “Also, major Grammy congrats to @vampireweekend ! @The_National , @tameimpala and @nineinchnails deserve huge respect. Music is love <3”

The Dodos also put out a new album in 2013 – Carrier. The band’s fourth album, 2011’s No Color, features backing vocals from Case.
