Two Shot During Concert

At least two people were injured in a Jan. 25 shooting inside the A.C. Brase Arena Building in Cape Girardeau, Mo., during a concert at the venue.

One man was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest that was considered non-life-threatening, according to the Southeast Missourian.

Another man walked into an emergency room with a gunshot wound to his leg and said he was shot at the venue.

Police are investigating both shootings and reports of gunfire inside and outside the arena, part of a Cape Girardeau community center, during a concert by Atlanta-based rapper Rich Homie Quan.

An arena security guard told the newspaper a man attending the concert “got physical with security” and was escorted out of the building.

He allegedly returned later with a gun, but it isn’t clear if he is suspected of being the shooter.
