Wayne Coyne’s Record Store Tour – Round Two

Wayne Coyne was so excited about The Flaming Lips accumulating 1 million Twitter followers that he celebrated by posting a naked selfie today. He’ll have to put his clothes on by the end of the week because he’s embarking on the second half of his Record Store Tour.

After stopping by such fine cities as Nashville, Chicago and St. Louis in December, East Coast fans will get a chance to meet and greet Coyne. The routing includes New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore.

As previously reported, Coyne is signing copies of the Lips’ self-titled debut EP, which will be available as a limited edition 12-inch on green vinyl. Feeling hungry? The band is selling the EP inside an anatomically correct and life-sized chocolate skull that’s been hand-crafted and custom-made, just for you. Along with the EP, the chocolate skull also comes with a golden coin that will get you into any headline show by the band in the world.

The EP has been remastered by Lips bassist Michael Ivins and includes a new cover by “freak artist” Charlie Immer.

Before the Record Store Tour begins The Flaming Lips will perform at Amnesty International’s USA Human Rights Home Concert on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

You can also catch the band on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Thursday, Feb. 6 at NYC’s Ed Sullivan Theater as the guys help mark the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.
