The sixth in the series is Donald Tarlton, one of the best-known promoters in all of Canada.

The founder of Aquarius records, Tarlton has promoted acts from The Rolling Stones to Pink Floyd.

He got his start when Janis Joplin threw up on Tarlton’s mentor, Sam Gesser, and Gesser told Tarlton he could handle all the rock shows from now on.

From that point forward, Tarlton – aka Donald K. Donald – became the biggest promoter in the Montreal region.
