Ledisi’s Truth

Ledisi has lined up a spring tour to go along with previously announced appearances at Essence Music Festival and Arizona Jazz Festival. The R&B singer/songwriter has new tunes to show off, including her latest single “I Blame You.”

The single hails from her upcoming album, The Truth, due out March 11.

The Truth is the follow-up to Ledisi’s fifth studio album, 2011’s Pieces Of Me.

She described the 2011 LP as a project that was very personal to her. Ledisi told the Associated Press, “I want women to hear themselves in the music and find a way to celebrate and embrace who they are.”

Ledisi will have more truth to share with fans on tour. Following a March 7 set at the Arizona Jazz Festival in Phoenix, “The Truth Tour” launches April 16 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Essence Music Festival, which takes place July 3-6 at New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome, hasn’t announced its daily lineup yet.

Tickets for Charlotte will be available Feb. 7. Presales for select dates begin Feb. 12. Tickets go on sale to the general public Feb. 14.
