Todd Snider Never Met A Story He Didn’t Like

Todd Snider will keep fans thoroughly entertained on his April excursion. The “I Never Met A Story I Didn’t Like” tour includes a preview of the film “East Nashville Tonight,” a reading from the singer/songwriter’s new book, and some tunes too.

An announcement from Snider’s PR rep points out that “East Nashville Tonight” was originally going to be a documentary on Snider before the film turned into “what has been best described as a stoner musical.”
Snider’s new book, I Never Met A Story I Didn’t Like (Mostly True Tall Tales), is set for release April 29 via De Capo Press.

We’ll let Snider tell you what you can expect from the April tour.

“OK Buckaroos, so here’s the plan: First we show 30 minutes of our 70 minutes stoner digest movie, “East Nashville Tonight” with Elizabeth Cook. Then I’m gonna come out to some kick ass podium thing (that I haven’t made yet, but will) and read a chapter from the book I wrote without Peter Cooper’s help. We’ll put two microphones in the aisle, and I’ll either take a question or song request (not both). After that I’ll read a poem I composed that day. Then we crank the Hard Working Americans album and have an after show dance party.”

Hard Working Americans put out its debut, self-titled album in January. Along with Snider on vocals, the group features Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools on bass, Neal Casal of Cardinals and Chris Robinson Brotherhood on guitar/vocals, Great American Taxi’s Chad Staehly on keys, and Duane Trucks of Col. Bruce Hampton’s School of Music on drums.
