Tool Expands U.S. Schedule

Following last month’s brief tour announcement, Tool has added a handful of gigs to its March schedule. The band’s first U.S. excursion since 2012 now includes stops in Fresno, Las Vegas, San Diego, Houston and Phoenix.

Maynard James Keenan & Co. spent 2013 playing Australia and New Zealand, along with an appearance at Ozzfest Japan. The act, which put out its most recent album, 10,000 Days, in 2006, returns to the road March 4 with a gig in Spokane, Wash.

A VIP pack presale for the new gigs is scheduled Thursday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. PST. The VIP Pack comes with a VIP ticket, entry to the VIP area in the venue, access to the sound check, a Q&A session with guitarist Adam Jones, an exclusive Tool tour T-shirt, a poster and more.

Yesterday Tool pointed out that there were still a few VIP Packs – with seats in the first few rows – available for previously announced shows in Reno, Eugene, Spokane and San Francisco.

And don’t forget about Keenan’s 50th birthday party. The show at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre May 10 includes performances from his other bands – Puscifer and A Perfect Circle – and a reunion set by Failure.
