Maine Ambitions

Portland, Maine, may get a new 10,000-seat amphitheatre on the city’s waterfront, if a developer gets permission to build the proposed venue on 23 acres.

Liberty Ship Pavilion would be built on the last major piece of undeveloped waterfront in the city and be ready by summer.

Developer/owner John Cacoulidis was to appear before the local planning board Feb. 25 to request a special exception and modified site plan application approval.
